Asahimas Chemical attained GOLD in PVC Stewardship Excellence Award

The fourth biennial PVC AUS conference will bring the Australasian PVC industry together when it takes place at 4-6 June 2024 on Gold Coast, Queensland. Following the success of the previous edition of PVC AUS in 2022, PVC AUS 2024 with a focus on ‘Future Driven'.

The fourth biennial PVC AUS conference will bring the Australasian PVC industry together when it takes place at 4-6 June 2024 on Gold Coast, Queensland. Following the success of the previous edition of PVC AUS in 2022, PVC AUS 2024 with a focus on ‘Future Driven’, the carefully constructed two-day program explored key opportunities, challenges and talking points for the broader PVC industry as transition towards the second half of the decade.

Vinyl Council Australia is a member-based organization established in June 1998. It acts as the peak organization representing the Australian PVC, or vinyl, value chain. the members are drawn from across the supply chain of the vinyl industry in Australia, representing a wide range of products. The Vinyl Council is working to advance the sustainability of the PVC industry in Australia through sharing information and engaging with stakeholders regarding the life cycle of PVC. The Vinyl Council of Australia believes that vinyl products have a valuable role to play in a sustainable society.

As part of our commitment to Australia Market, Asahimas Chemical  representative by Mr. Gandi from PVC Division has participated as speaker on conference by presenting “Real Actions to Cope with The Emerged Global Challenge of PVC” to share best practices in manufacturing related to environmental, social, and human rights, as well as contributions to the circular economy. ASC also take part as exhibitor showcasing our company profile and products.

During this event, PVC Stewardship Excellence Award also conducted, product stewardship is an approach to managing the impacts of different products and materials through their life cycle, including end-of-life. The aim of the Australian PVC Stewardship Program is to enable raw material suppliers, products manufacturers, and distributors to be joint stewards of the safe and beneficial production, use and disposal of PVC products. All are to share in the management of health, safety, and environmental aspects of PVC products throughout their entire life cycle.

This year, Asahimas Chemical was awarded 100% compliance for all relevant commitments and has attained Gold in Excellence Stewardship based on 2023 calendar year performance.
